Since she was a little kid, Mela shows her intense love and energy for nature. Restless, creative, and free-spirited she trained as a professional dancer, photographer, and mountaineer. At the age of 21, she climbed Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina and set the record in 2001 as the youngest Mexican woman to summit. As a licensed guide, she has lead tour groups and expeditions around Mexico, central and south America since 2001. She started to work in the tourism industry in 1996 and founded Terra Matter Expeditions in 2001. She is a passionate entrepreneur that believes in “do what you love” as the key to happiness and success, and also a way to make our world a better place.  

He  is an avid adventurer who enjoys everything the outdoors has to offer from camping trips to day hikes, it’s a great way to disconnect from the busy stressful life we all lead and recharge ourselves. As an adventure sports enthusiast, he enjoys snowboarding, white water rafting, and off-road mountain biking.  From a young age, he has been a hardworking entrepreneur often taking on jobs for neighbors and developed his construction business from the ground up in a “boot-strap” fashion. One of the most important things he learned as a small business owner is you must be willing to wear a lot of hats. Some of those hats look good on you and some don’t but if you want to be successful you must wear them all with a smile.
